Watch My Virtual Progress Across the Country

I just signed up with FitnessJournal.org to track all of my various exercise activities, and they have a cool feature which tallies up all of the distance you’ve traveled running, walking, swimming, biking, hiking, skipping, crawling, doing the caterpillar, moonwalking… and then displays your virtual progress across a map. Currently they only have Canada, the United States, and Australia (I’m hoping they add China, or the moon or something). So click on the image above to see how far I’ve come Since April 14, 2007. [May 23, 2007 Update: As of May 21, 2007, I have switched to a different running log tool, and will no longer be updating this map. It's too bad, really. I would have liked to run across the country.]

Today I Ran

Course: Treadmill (again) HR Zone Intervals
Distance: 4 miles

Nothing special to note, except that I can definitely feel my endurance and speed improving. Come to think of it, I guess that’s pretty noteworthy.

Been reading a little more about training, and I realize now that I need to be patient. As long as I put in the miles, I’ll get stronger and faster.
